PASSIVE RADAR
Passive Radar is an innovative surveillance system that operates without transmitting its own signal. Instead, it makes use of existing broadcast, mobile communication, or satellite signals and analyzes their reflections. This allows movements of objects to be detected with high precision — discreetly, reliably, and cost-efficiently.
Highlights
Detection without an active transmission signalDiscreet and hard-to-locate technology
24/7 operational readiness
High scalability for different scenarios
Possible Applications
Border and coastal protection: Monitoring large areas without additional transmission infrastructure
Civil aviation security: Detection of aircraft movements, even when transponders are switched off
Critical infrastructure: Protection of ports, power plants, and industrial facilities
Military applications: Covert reconnaissance and situational awareness
Your Benefits
Passive radar provides a cost-effective, reliable, and difficult-to-attack solution for object detection. You receive a system that leverages existing infrastructure and therefore operates in a particularly unobtrusive manner. At the same time, operating costs are reduced since no dedicated transmission equipment is required.
Technological Basis
The technology analyzes reflected signals from existing transmitters (e.g., DVB-T, mobile networks, or satellites). Using advanced signal processing, multi-antenna systems, and adaptive algorithms, the position, speed, and direction of objects are determined. In addition, MIMO receiver architectures and digital beamforming techniques are employed to increase range and accuracy.
